Which Word files can I convert?
Word2MD supports .docx and Word 97–2003 .doc files. Legacy .doc files retain text and basic formatting. For complex documents, save a .docx copy in Word before converting.
Are my Word files uploaded to a server?
Standard conversion runs in your browser and keeps the files on your device. The separate image OCR tool sends the file to a server for processing.
Can I convert multiple files at once?
Yes. Add up to 100 files per batch, with a limit of 50 MB per file. You can download each result separately. Downloading the whole batch as a ZIP requires a paid plan.
Will headings, lists, and tables carry over?
The converter preserves common formatting such as headings, lists, links, and simple tables. Check the preview for merged table cells, complex numbering, or layouts that need cleanup.
What happens to images in my Word document?
