Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident upgrading. Here is exactly when and how you can get a refund.

1. Scope

This policy applies to paid subscriptions on Word2MD.net — Pro, Pro+, and Ultimate, on both monthly and yearly billing. The core Word→Markdown converter is free to use and is not covered by this policy.

2. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

You can request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase, no questions asked, as long as you have used no more than 10 paid image conversions on that plan. This applies to first-time purchases on monthly and yearly plans.

The 10-conversion threshold exists because each paid image conversion consumes real OCR/AI processing cost on our side.

3. Yearly Plans — Prorated Refunds

After the initial 7-day window, yearly subscribers may request a prorated refund for the remaining unused months, minus any months already used and any usage above 3× the equivalent monthly quota. Prorated refunds are reviewed case-by-case and are typically granted for genuine reasons (e.g. no longer need the service, workflow change).

4. Monthly Plans — After 7 Days

Monthly plans are non-refundable after the 7-day window. You can cancel future renewals at any time; the current billing cycle will remain active until its end date and will not auto-renew.

5. When Refunds Are Not Available

  • • More than 7 days have passed since purchase (except for prorated yearly refunds).
  • • You have used more than 10 paid image conversions under the refund window.
  • • The account has been suspended for violating the Terms of Service.
  • • Purchases made with promotional codes, lifetime deals, or discounts greater than 50%, unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout.
  • • Chargebacks initiated through the card issuer before contacting us — please reach out first; it is faster.

6. How to Request a Refund

Email us at [email protected] from the email address used for the purchase, with:

  • • Order ID or the last 4 digits of the card used
  • • Plan name (Pro / Pro+ / Ultimate, monthly or yearly)
  • • A brief reason — this helps us improve

We usually reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

7. Cancellations

Canceling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically trigger a refund. If you want both cancellation and a refund, please say so in the email.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Changes apply going forward only and do not affect refund requests already in progress.
